Since October 2000 Lina has been founder and managing director of Picasso HR Ltd – a Human Resource management consultancy and outsourcing organisation.

Lina is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and an Associate of the Institute of Arbitrators, which is a worldwide organisation. She is passionate about people management and conflict resolution and is an accredited workplace mediator.

Outside of Picasso HR:

  • President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce – 2006 to 2008 (Currently on the Board)
  • Has been on the committee of the Suffolk Strategic Partnership – local government lead initiative to bring private sector leaders and local authority counsellors to establish a 20 year strategic plan for Suffolk)
  • Chairman of Suffolk Business Women

With over 7 years experience of organising conferences and events, Amanda’s enthusiastic and pro-active approach means that every SBW event will be well organised, interactive and most importantly kept to time!

Prior to joining Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Amanda has organised networking events for the East of England Regional Assembly and leadership programmes for Common Purpose. As well as organising SBW Amanda is a Low Carbon Development Officer and organises Energywise; providing local businesses the opportunity to share good practice and find out how they can reduce their fuel emissions and costs.

Vimmi Hayes, Economic Development Manager, Suffolk County Council

Qualified in Economic Development and Management to a post graduate level, Vimmi has 18 years experience in economic development roles.

Vimmi’s career began with the European Commission managing projects in North West England for the IT sector.  As Policy Manager for Milton Keynes and North Bucks Vimmi lobbied on key business issues including European Monetary Union and Business Rates. Vimmi Moved to the Greater Cambridge Partnership where she led on the development of the first Economic Strategy for the area.

During her time with Northamptonshire Police Vimmi set up one of the first Business Crime Organisations and was advisor on the National Business Crime Task Group.  Following a period of managing the Economic Development team in Bedford Vimmi joined Suffolk County Council and has been involved in a number of projects including Inward Investment, sector development setting up a business angel network.

Vimmi has two young children and volunteers at the local primary school.
