The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Menta recently held a joint event for business women in Suffolk, attacting over 40 delegates and helping to encourage women to network with colleagues from across the county.
WoMenta, a branch of Menta that supports women starting their own businesses, and Suffolk Business Women, which is affiliated to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and supported by Suffolk County Council, held the event on 18th May at the Angel Hotel, Bury St Edmunds. The event included a presentation from Kirsteen Ellis, a cancer survivor and joint owner of FIT4IT who shared her journey of building up a business while dealing with cancer with honesty and humour and was a truly inspirational pioneer of women in business.
The event also included exhibitors from businesses in the county led by women working in the health and wellbeing environment.
Suffolk Business Women aims to hold several more of these events all across the county to provide business women the opportunity to meet, network, support, inspire and share good practice with other women in similar roles.
